    A little setup

    Needs: Library card

    General admission to the grounds and gardens

    • 250 acres of beauty. Haupt Conservatory is a Victorian glasshouse. Free Wed and Sat 10-11am for NY residents. Metro-North has a direct station from Grand Central.

  2. IDNYC — as a membership

    Set up first

    Needs: IDNYC

    Free 1-year membership, including unlimited grounds admission, discounts at the gift shop and cafés, and member events

    Worth: Free membership

    1. Get your IDNYC card
    2. Visit NYBG membership office in person at 2900 Southern Blvd, Bronx
    3. Present your IDNYC card
    4. Complete membership registration
    Watch out: Must activate in person. 5-year rule applies. Buildings/greenhouse admission may be limited.
