    Needs: Any ID

    Pay-what-you-wish Thu 7-9pm. Free for visitors under 18 at all times.

  2. Library card → Culture Pass

    Needs: Library card

    General admission to all exhibitions

    • Known for bold contemporary art in the distinctive stacked-box building on the Bowery. Free for 18 and under. Pay-what-you-wish Thursdays 7-9pm.

  3. IDNYC — as a membership

    Set up first

    Needs: IDNYC

    Free 1-year membership, including unlimited admission, discounts at the museum shop and café, and member previews and events

    Worth: Free membership

    1. Get your IDNYC card
    2. Visit the New Museum in person at 235 Bowery, Lower East Side
    3. Present your IDNYC card
    4. Complete membership registration
    Watch out: Must activate in person. 5-year rule applies.
