    A little setup

    Needs: Library card

    General admission to all galleries and exhibitions

    • The modern art mecca — Van Gogh's Starry Night, Warhol's Soup Cans, Picasso. Normally $30. Free on Fridays 5:30-9pm (pay-what-you-wish for NY). MoMA PS1 is a separate venue.

  2. IDNYC — as a membership

    Set up first

    Needs: IDNYC

    MoMA NYC membership: free priority access year-round to MoMA and MoMA PS1, $5 guest admission for up to 5 guests per visit, free tickets to MoMA films, member-only previews and Last Looks, 10% discount at MoMA Stores. PLUS MoMA PS1: $2 discount on Sunday Sessions/Warm Up, free film tickets, monthly e-newsletter

    Worth: $85/year MoMA membership value

    1. Get your IDNYC card
    2. Visit MoMA in person (must be NYS resident)
    3. Redeem at membership desk with your IDNYC number
    4. Receive MoMA NYC membership card
    Watch out: Must redeem in person. NYS-DMV-issued IDs (driver's license, non-driver ID) are ineligible for this benefit — use IDNYC or other accepted ID. If you've been a member in the last 5 years, not eligible. After first year, can renew at 50% discount ($55 Access or $100 Explore).
